The legacy we leave – Eartha Kitt’s daughter reflects on her mother’s teaching.

We all have some sort of legacy we leave. Whether we’re world famous or known just to our families, we all have something to share. And as we share, hopefully with love and compassion, we hopefully can learn to appreciate the impact EVERY being makes on someone. That person is the pebble in the pond of life, affecting change, no matter how small.

#BeKind #BeGrateful #Smile. That may just be your legacy. ????

The legacy we leave

My mother taught me how to live honestly, with respect for everyTHING and everyONE. She blessed me with life’s most important gift… Love.

I now share her heart and wisdom with you, her fans, old and new, because blessings are meant to be shared.

Help me in my quest to #ShareYourHeart and show more kindness to those you come in contact with every day.

Starting with yourself.

It only takes on pebble to cause a ripple effect.

We are one with everyone, everything, every animal, all of nature, all of mankind, all that’s in the universe. All one with God. When you live in harmony, it’s a much more peaceful existence. Also giving thanks for all we have and in all we do.

I adored your Mother for many reasons…her genious…her talent…her wisdom…her knowledge …more importantly her beauty…not only for her looks but her heart above all!
Yes…you are truly blessed to have such love from such a beautiful spirit!
There will only ever be ONE EARTHA KITT…and I am thankful she came along on my lifetime .
I admire your Mother for so many reasons…her mind and soul in particular…what a blessing to have her.
I am saddened deeply to know that the youth of today have idols such as Nikki Manaj …and Cardi B too look up to…what sort of legacy will they leave???
Your Mother…was an example of kindness…acceptance…honor…beauty and talent.
Thank you so much for keeping her legacy alive…and allowing us a glimpse into her life!
    I bow to you both.
Love and abundant blessings to you and yours????????????????

I just happened upon this site. I adored your mother, grew up watching her on Batman, and now knowing her story I have so much respect. Her background was very similar to mine. I admire her strength, and you are so lucky to have had her. GOD BLESS

I used to love seeing your mother at Heaven nightclub in London having six muscle Mary’s carrying her around the club like Cleopatra. For some reason everyone she saw me she would lean over and give me a hug. This happened everyone I saw her at Heaven. Wonderful nights!!

I fell down an internet rabbit hole tonight and found out this past year for business I have traveled through the beautiful Eartha Kitty’s birthplace! Never imagined such a town to be the birthplace of such a powerhouse of talent and amazing charisma such as your mother. I dont know why they don’t have a sign saying such! Earth Kitt was just amazing and I am often addled by those attempting to peddle “Santa Baby” in their new rendition. I want to tell them to STOP. Once it was done to perfection you need to leave it alone. Eartha was the kind of woman that those of us left on earth can aspire. A heart like the universe, a talent like the Shakespearean Gods made her and a voice like a purring kitten with BITE. God bless whoever brought this woman into being. Thank you.

My mother was always accused of being an Eartha Kitt look-alike. As I got older I began to see myself! Totally uncanny resemblance. Also, I went to Elementary School on Chicago’s Westside. There was a girl in my class who told me Eartha Kitt was her cousin. I must have been in the 3rd or 4th grade. Her name was Florence Latson( not sure how her last name was spelled) But I never forgot her. I always wondered about her! Have you ever heard of her and is she still alive? I’d love to know. I am 72 years old and would love to here from her. Or any News regarding her. I am a retired teacher and haven’t seen Florence since we were in Gym Class dressed in our blue pantaloons Gym Suits. This must have been around 1956 or 1957. Please e-mail me, somebody! I’d be so Sincerely Grateful!
